The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has declared his intentions to host a media encounter Scheduled for Sunday, July 7, 2024. This is going to mark the first of several planned engagements scheduled ahead of the December polls which is to come off later this year on the 7th of December 2024.
In a statement released by his spokesperson Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Former president Mahama, aims to engage the press to discuss his vision for the country’s future and address pertinent national issues thereby declaring his vision ahead of the polls. The scheduled event reaffirms his dedication to transparency and his wish to communicate with Ghanaian citizens, emphasizing the importance of the Media.
Mr Mahama who has been out lately calling out President Akuffo for his Economic mismanagement sees this opportunity to mount the podium to air out his plans to ease the economic hardships that have engulfed the country.
The National Democratic Congress seems not to buy the ruling Party’s argument of attributing the economic hardships to the Russia/Ukraine war and COVID-19 19 which broke out in 2020. They have cited many examples that point out economic mismanagement and many instances claiming the NPP is using The Russia/Ukraine war and Covid 19 as a decoy to embezzle state funds.
The Ex-president contesting on the ticket of the NDC once again wishes to use this media encounter to spell out his strategic plans to end Ghana’s economic woes.
Interested Media houses who wish to cover the event should forward details of their reporters and videographers (if applicable) to office@johnmahama.org.
