West Ham reach agreement with Graham Potter for two and a half years.

There were numerous reports last night that Graham Potter was doubtful about taking over at West Ham United. On Monday, December 9, it was revealed that Potter had agreed to succeed Julen Lopetegui as Hammers manager if Espanyol failed to beat Wolves that night.

West Ham win 2-1 thanks to some good finishing from Wolves and some lucky VAR decisions.

This forced Julen Lopetegui into action and Potter stood up again.

He has been out of action since being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023.

The incident occurred during an emergency meeting held after West Ham’s 3-1 loss to Leicester City, in which Karen Brady defeated Porter, a close friend of her husband Paul Peschi Solida.

But West Ham were ready to give up six months ago. Porter had been considering releasing the player against Wolves a few days ago and finally agreed before the game.

West Ham United seemed to have lost out yesterday as Everton were also involved and offered a long-term deal.

Reports that negotiations have ended and there is no news yet on Lopetegui’s sacking. Porter said he was not satisfied with six month deal.

But after a major overhaul, Potter signed a highly unusual 2.5-year contract with West Ham United.
