Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared that Alan Kyerematen cannot be the answer to the disaster the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in which he took part, caused.

He claimed that Alan is not a suitable replacement for the NPP’s failed current administration.

He claimed that Alan actively contributed to the demise of the economy from 2017 to 2023 as the Cabinet Minister in charge of Trade and Industry and a member of the Economic Management team.

Sammy Gyamfi also stated that while Alan was in charge, the Komenda Sugar Factory was left to decay for over six years as the manufacturing sector’s growth sharply decreased and enterprises were choked by his Ministry’s and government’s faulty policies, resulting in the loss of several jobs.

He claimed that under the direction of the dictatorial tyrant Akufo-Addo, who is focused on installing his chosen one as his successor and continues to persecute people who disagree with him, Alan could not have received even a semblance of fairness or justice in the current NPP presidential primary elections.

In order to compete as an independent in the general elections of 2024, Alan Kyerematen has declared his intention to leave the party.

Given that Kyerematen has been a devoted supporter of the NPP for a long time, his choice has shocked the political establishment.

On Monday, September 25, 2023, Kyerematen conducted a news conference in Accra where he discussed his decision to leave the NPP.

This is Kyerematen’s second departure from the NPP.
