Gideon Boako, the Spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Tano North, has urged the youth to refrain from engaging in political violence. He advised them not to sacrifice their lives for any politician.
Speaking at a peace walk and talk event in Duayaw Nkwanta, Boako stressed that no politician, regardless of their party affiliation or status, is worth risking one’s life or shedding blood for.
The event, which took place on Saturday, November 16th, was organized by the Tano North Local Council of Churches with the aim of fostering peace and unity as the nation approaches the 2024 elections. The Council, recognizing the importance of maintaining a calm and harmonious atmosphere during such a politically charged period, brought together a wide range of stakeholders from across the community.
The gathering served as an opportunity for religious leaders, political representatives, and local authorities to join forces in advocating for peaceful electioneering, encouraging citizens to engage in the electoral process without resorting to violence or divisiveness.
