The vice president of Ghana and the flag bearer of New Patriotic Party (NPP) has replied quickly to the questions of the former president, John Dramani Mahama, about his achievements as the vice president of Ghana.
The vice president urged Mahama to participate in an open debate rather than resorting to trivial questions.
This call was issued in response to Mahama’s challenge of five questions aimed at Dr. Bawumia, reminiscent of the 170 questions he posed to the former vice president, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, during the 2016 election campaign.
In Dr. Bawumia’s rebuttal, he extended a direct invitation to Mr. Mahama, stating, ” I would have thought he would be man enough to face me on a one on one debate for Ghanaians to assess our policies, achievements and visions. He should not hide behind these flimsy questions to avoid a debate ”
Dr Bawumia stated that Mahama’s questions paled in comparison to the substantive issues Dr. Bawumia was ready to tackle, as he presented his own list of 50 questions concerning John Mahama’s record on the economy, infrastructure, and social intervention policies.
