Shatta Wale Threatens to ‘End’ Black Sherif’s Career Over Disrespect”

Shatta Wale, the renowned Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist, has sent a stern warning to Black Sherif, threatening to end his career if the rising star continues to criticize him publicly. The warning came after Black Sherif posted a picture of Shatta Wale on Snapchat, making a remark about his style of dressing.

Expressing his displeasure on X (formerly Twitter), Shatta Wale cautioned the “Kilos Milos” hitmaker to be more mindful in how he addresses him within the music industry. He made it clear that if Black Sherif continues to disrespect him, he would not hesitate to take drastic action and end his career.

Shatta Wale addressed Black Sherif, saying, “You’re new in the music industry. If you’ve heard that I’ve said something about you, why not go and watch the podcast and hear the positive things I’ve said about you?”

Shatta Wale cautioned Black Sherif, saying, “Blacko, this is what Sarkodie did, and now people consider him my enemy. Go ask around—I have the power to end careers. If you’re not careful, I could end yours too.”

Background

On October 31, Shatta Wale made a remark about Black Sherif’s fashion choices during an appearance on the Rants, Pants, and Confessions podcast, which is hosted by Afia Odo. In the discussion, Shatta Wale suggested that Blacko, as the singer is often called, could improve his style and appearance.

This comment did not sit well with Black Sherif. In response, the Kilos Milos hitmaker took to Snapchat, where he posted a picture of Shatta Wale and accompanied it with the caption, “I plaster everywhere,” likely hinting at his disapproval of Shatta’s public criticism
