The Ghanaian Veteran Rapper Sarkodie captured the attention of his audience with the latest released track ‘Brag’, where he skillfully delved into the essence of the song’s title by engaging in a captivating bragging spree.
In the lyrics of his latest released track, Sarkodie proudly highlighted his longevity and relevance in the Ghanaian Music industry and the world, acknowledging the rise of talented newcomers such as Black Sherif and others who have been making phenomenal waves. However, he confidently asserts that they still have a long Journey until they reach his level of success.
Sarkodie Further added that, his presence in the music scene since the early days when renowned artists like Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy made their debut. Despite the great and immense impact, he alledges that they are yet to surpass his achievements.
Interestingly, Sarkodie identifies his current major competitors as Kendrick & Cole, showcasing his ambition to continuously push his boundaries and excel in his craft.
“Before Wizkid came I was already doing it. Davido started when I was improving it. Then Odogwu came through, Blacksherif to Asake, yet I’m still going. My biggest competition is Kendrick & Cole.” – Sarkodie opines.
“I got to brag cos I’m too quiet,” another verse in the song says.
Aside that, Sarkodie made it clear n his Facebook few days ago that he would be relasing a mixtape for his loyal fans who have stayed with him this month.
The mixtape, dubbed The Championship is set to be released on May 26th.
The Legendary rapper admitted the song could happen sooner depending on a few things.
