The captain and winger of Barcelona, Raphinha, has showered praise on his teammate, Lamine Yamal, for the accolades envisioned for the future of the 17-year-old sensation.
In an interview with Adri Contreras (h/t SPORT), Raphinha shared how he admires such talent from La Masia and believes in Yamal’s potential for great things.
This Raphinha, who is doing really well at this time, had spoken of how Lamine was indeed an exceptional player with amazing skills. He even added that if he could “nationalise” any Barcelona teammate to play for the Brazilian national team, he would definitely choose Yamal.
“Lamine is going to win quite a few Ballons d’Or… let us say three,” he predicted for Raphinha while impressing at the young forward’s unique talent and trajectory.
Raphinha, however, excluded himself in the competition for such prestigious awards, saying he prefers the collective title, stating:
“My goal every day is to become a better version of myself. Whatever happens is fine, but collective titles matter to me,” the 26-year-old said.
