Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has spoken publicly for the first time since her reported illness, reassuring Ghanaians of her good health.
In her Eid Mubarak message to the Muslim community, Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang extended warm wishes and gratitude, marking her first official communication after her recent health scare.
Her statement follows reports that she had been receiving urgent medical care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) after falling ill on Friday, March 28, 2025.
In response to public concerns, Government Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu confirmed that medical experts had recommended additional care overseas for Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
However, a later update from Eric Adjei, a former deputy spokesperson for her 2024 campaign, reassured Ghanaians that she was in good health.
In her message, Opoku-Agyemang commended the commitment and principles of the Muslim community and expressed her thanks for the flood of supportive messages she received over the weekend.
“Similarly, I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the kind words and well wishes this weekend.”
