Piesie Esther Explains Why She Doesn’t Focus on Social Media Critics

Piesie Esther, the renowned gospel musician, has explained why she chooses to avoid negative comments on social media.

In an interview  on November 19, Piesie shared that instead of responding to social media trolls, she prefers to focus on advancing her career. She believes that some individuals on social media are paid to insult and denigrate others, and she chooses not to engage with such negativity. Instead, she remains committed to her work and stays focused on her personal and professional growth.

Piesie Esther shared her thoughts on social media negativity, explaining, “I have realized that some of these people who post the comments on social media have been paid to do what they are doing just to bring you down. Some of the comments make you wonder why the person is writing this when you are simply doing your work and promoting your craft.”

She further added, “So, I don’t see the reason to bother myself and follow such people. I will just let it go and stay focused on what I am doing. I will just let it go.”

Addressing the topic of female gospel musicians focusing on fashion, Piesie Esther, known for her hit song “Waye Mi Yie,” stated that there is “nothing wrong” with gospel artists, especially females, dressing to look good. She emphasized that personal style and looking presentable should not be a problem in the gospel music industry.

Piesie Esther explained that dressing well helps to add focus and attract people. She stated, “The reason is that it adds some focus to you. It draws some people to come closer to you. There is nothing wrong with seeing a gospel musician who has dressed well.” She emphasized that looking good should not be seen as an issue for gospel musicians, as it can also help draw attention and connect with people.

Piesie Esther shared her views on dressing well, stating, “You don’t have to expose your body but look good because the way you dress is how you will be addressed.” She highlighted that it’s important to dress appropriately while still maintaining a sense of style.

The gospel singer, who released her new song At33ne in October 2024, described it as a reflection of God’s faithfulness in her life. She revealed that she had written At33ne even before her hit song Mo.

“I gave it to Kaywa before I released Way3 Mi Yie. So, I decided that after Way3 Mi Yie, At33ne would be the next song to release. But when God blessed me with the Mo song, and after comparing both, I decided to release Mo first to thank God for Way3 Mi Yie. I released Mo to also thank God for turning the tables, which is reflected in At33ne,” she explained.
