The trauma and specialist hospital in Winneba ,in a statement, indicate that the patient who was abandoned in the bush was treated and discharge.

In a statement by the medical director who has been  relieved of his position for the ongoing investigation. The patient who was brought in form Gomoa Ojobe was treated and discharge form the hospital after they took the responsibility of her.

“The patient who was admitted on  28 or 29 the of May and finally discharge on 3rd June 2024 ,after being sure that she was well to be discharge. The medical records is tented has evidence” the report stated.

The report indicate that the patient insisted to be taken to Gomoa Ojobe  and there is a correspondence between the welfare and the hospital of Gomoa Ojobe  before she was taken away.

The Ghana health service (GHS) has been given one month to investigate  matter and bring it to rest , and there is Five member committee who have been asked to look into the issue.
