Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that the Mahama administration is becoming a disappointment, especially following the termination of the last-minute jobs created by the previous Akufo-Addo administration.
The Mahama government, through a directive from Chief of Staff Julius Deborah, has dismissed numerous young Ghanaians employed in various public sectors by the previous administration. These mass dismissals have faced widespread criticism, with several workers’ unions, including the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwifery Association, threatening strike action unless their members, who were legitimately employed, are reinstated.
In a Facebook post, Nana B stated, “President John Mahama has sacked thousands of volunteers working across the country, effective February 28, 2025. As part of the ‘JM Resetting’ agenda, even volunteer workers who don’t receive salaries have been dismissed. Mahama’s administration is fast becoming a huge disappointment.”
Since taking office, President Mahama’s government has implemented a series of actions targeting Ghanaians who were legitimately employed under the previous administration.
