If your mother is at the funeral, you are not denied ‘Tuo zaafi’ – Bawumia tells Walewale residents to vote for their own

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer, has urged the people of Walewale to vote for him in the December 7 election to elect him as Ghana’s president.

He stated that by voting for him, they would ensure that they receive their fair share of the national cake.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia made this appeal while addressing party supporters at a ‘Bawumia Connect’ event in Walewale, North East Region, on November 22. Hailing from Walewale himself, the NPP flagbearer emphasized the importance of supporting him in the upcoming December 7 election. He drew upon a local proverb that suggests when you have your own in influential positions, what you deserve will not be denied. With this in mind, Bawumia urged the people of Walewale to vote for him, highlighting the significant opportunity at hand.

“We have just two weeks to choose a president for Ghana. Imagine the pride and joy when you hear that the President of Ghana is from your own hometown,” he said. Bawumia continued, expressing his belief that this moment represents a great opportunity for the people of Walewale and Ghana as a whole. “God has granted us a wonderful chance, and that power can be a great benefit.

Under our constitution, whatever the President decides is final. Just imagine, that power resting in your own home,” he added, urging the people to consider the long-term benefits of electing someone from their community.

Dr. Bawumia further explained, “That is why we say, if your mother is at the funeral, you cannot be denied TZ (Tuo Zaafi). You will be enjoying TZ with good soup every day.” He emphasized that his candidacy is a divine opportunity.

He continued, “We must not take this opportunity lightly. God has given us a great gift. It’s like being given a penalty with a goalkeeper chosen for us to score. John Mahama has already served as President, and he can only serve another four years, but by the grace of God, I can serve for eight years.”
