Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Minister for Finance, has described the 2025 budget as a people-centered policy document that addresses the needs of Ghanaians.
He made this statement while delivering his concluding remarks on the 2025 Budget Statement in Parliament on Tuesday, 25 March.
He highlighted that the government has made significant strides to tackle the country’s economic challenges and enhance the welfare of its citizens.
“This budget reflects our commitment to prioritizing the people, and we will ensure its successful implementation for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he assured.Dr. Forson explained that the policies outlined in the budget are aimed at providing relief, creating jobs, and stimulating economic growth.
Dr. Forson stated, “This budget is not just numbers on paper; it is a comprehensive plan to tackle the real concerns of Ghanaians. We have listened, and we are responding with practical solutions.”
He highlighted key interventions, such as increased investment in infrastructure, social welfare, and economic empowerment initiatives.
“The challenges facing this country didn’t emerge overnight, but we have started the process of resolving them in a systematic and sustainable manner,” he assured.
He urged his colleagues in Parliament and the general public to support the government’s efforts, emphasizing, “National development requires collective commitment,” He added.
