Fatawu Issahaku of Leicester City had an incredible night in the FA Cup, winning Man of the Match (MOTM) after his stunning strike put them ahead of Bournemouth in extra time.
The Ghanaian winger, who was loaned to the Foxes from Sporting CP in the summer, has performed admirably and carried that form into Tuesday night’s cup match.
The actual game was hotly contested, with both sides having opportunities but failing to score in the regular period of possession.
Issahaku picked up the ball on the edge of the area as extra time was running out and curled a shot past Bournemouth keeper Mark Travers and into the top corner of the net.

The goal was sufficient to advance Leicester City to the FA Cup’s next round.
“It was a good win and a good game,” Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca said in a post-match statement, complimenting his team’s performance. I don’t believe that winning tonight proves we are Premier League calibre, nor do I believe that losing does. It’s only a game. We are pleased with the level we demonstrated tonight.
Fatawu Issahaku and Leicester City, who are still winning the FA Cup and the Championship, had a fantastic night.
The teenage winger appears to have a bright future, and in the upcoming months, he will undoubtedly play a crucial role in the Foxes’ pursuit of success and promotion.
