David Adeleke, the award-winning Nigerian music star known as Davido, has announced that he is starting fresh and has no plans to cheat again.

In an interview on Tuesday, April 8, Davido, the ‘Timeless’ hitmaker, opened up about his past and the scandals involving women that have influenced his decision to make a change. He shared how his family dynamics, including his uncle who is a governor with two wives and another uncle with multiple wives living together, still led to issues despite their wealth. Reflecting on his own experiences, Davido emphasized that he prefers a simpler life, saying, “Maybe because I’ve had bad experiences. Sometimes experience is the best teacher.”

“I’m not cheating again. I don’t want wahala. I don’t want any wahala. I have five kids with four women,” Davido stated. He went on to explain that his choice to lead a more stable and faithful life was inspired by witnessing the struggles of his uncles, who are in polygamous marriages.

Among the most publicized relationship scandals were those involving his alleged French lover, Ivana Bay, and U.S.-based model and socialite Anita Brown, which dominated social media headlines in June 2023. Both women claimed that Davido impregnated them and pressured them to terminate the pregnancies.

The ‘Unavailable’ singer has now vowed to leave infidelity behind, expressing happiness over the harmonious relationship between his wife and children. He also admitted, “There was a time I was even afraid to bring my other children around.”
