David Osei Decries Lack of Respect and Honour Amid Vetting Chaos”

“Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has expressed his disappointment over the chaos that erupted in Parliament between the Minority and Majority MPs during a vetting session on Thursday night.”

In a post shared on X on Friday, January 31, 2025, Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei voiced his deep disappointment over the recent chaos that unfolded in Parliament between the Minority and Majority MPs during a vetting session the previous night. He described the behavior of the lawmakers as “disheartening” and expressed concern over the lack of decorum and professionalism exhibited by elected officials.

Prince David Osei criticized the MPs for resorting to fighting and vandalizing instead of upholding the expected standards of conduct. He questioned how such actions could set a positive example, wondering aloud, “How can we expect their supporters to act differently?” The actor further stressed that the lack of respect and honor among the lawmakers is a serious concern for the country’s democratic principles. According to Osei, this kind of behavior undermines the values of democracy and puts Ghana’s political integrity at risk.

In his post, Prince David Osei continued, expressing that the lack of respect and honor displayed by the MPs was “alarming.” He stressed the need for a culture of tolerance and responsibility, urging that leaders set a positive example for their followers to reflect the same values. He concluded by stating, “Today is a sad day for Ghanaian democracy,” emphasizing the gravity of the situation and the negative impact it could have on the country’s democratic process.
