Celine Dion-‘I’ll return to stage even if I’ve to crawl’

Canadian  Renowned Musician, Celine Dion has made a revelation that she wouldn’t let her struggle with stiff person syndrome stop her from climbing the stage to performing again.

Celine Dion who is one of the greatest singers ever to grace the earth, currently aged 56, in an interview with American  Television Host, Hoda Kotb on the Today Show made a strong promise to return to live performances even if it will take her crawling to the stage and using her hands to speak.

She stated “I’m going to go back on stage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will,” she vowed in the interview which was aired on Tuesday, June 11.

This interview emerged prior to the  release of her documentary I Am: Celine Dion, which is slated  for release on June 25 on Amazon Prime.

“I am Celine Dion, because today my voice will be heard for the first time, not just because I have to, or because I need to. It’s because I want to and I miss it,” added  the multiple Grammy-Award Winner  behind many popular songs including  “The Power of Love,”

The Canadian Singer who  first disclosed on December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a condition that results in rigid muscles in the arms, legs, and torso. Emotional discomfort or noise is known to produce spasms in these muscles.

She made a disclosure  that she  battled Stiff Person Syndrome secretly for 17 years before making it Known to the public.

Celine Dion further confessed that she started experiencing symptoms since 2008.

She recently added  that her Stiff Person Syndrome makes her feel like she’s “being strangled.”

Celine Dion went on to say  that She breaks her ribs occasionally and experiences cramps frequently.

Dion was forced to postpone a few of her 2023 and 2024 tour dates in May of last year due to her lack of strength.

When asked if she will be able to perform again, Dion told Vogue France that she “can’t answer that” at this time.
