Bukayo Saka says he is not worried about Arsenal’s Champions League round of 16 return leg which would be staged against FC Porto in London, despite Arsenal’s recent struggles in the competition.
The English-born attacker was part of the Arsenal team that lost 1-0 in Porto – one of the shock Champions League results of the season – and knows that they have a heavy task ahead of them.
However, Saka remains confident that with the help of the Emirates’ crowd, they can beat the defensively solid Portuguese side and secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
During an Interview with The Sun, He said, “I’m not so worried, because we have a special night awaiting at the Emirates, so I’m looking forward to that.”
The winger acknowledged that Porto posed a tough challenge in the first leg, but he believes that Arsenal has the tools to turn things around in London in the second leg encounter.
He added that the team’s impressive scoring record in recent games, suggesting that their attacking prowess will be key to securing the much needed win.
Saka’s comments suggest that he and the entire Arsenal team are focused on the task at hand and are determined to make progress in the Champions League regardless.
With the their home crowd playing a key factor, they will look to overcome Porto and reach the quarterfinals for the first time in over a decade.
