Atta Kyea-I wouldn’t Take Responsibility for Boakye Agyarko’s Dimissal.

I'm Not Behind Boakye Agyarko's Dismissal– Atta Kyea - DailyGuide Network

Samuel Atta Kyea, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South in the Eastern Region, has denied charges made by former Minister of Energy Boakye Agyarko about his supposed role in that Minister’s resignation.

He claimed that Agyarko’s appearance with Kumasi-based Sompa FM, in which the same accusations were made again, prompted him to counter the assertions and offer his side of the story.

In a statement, the former Minister of Works and Housing stated that he had “never been involved in Ameri matters, whether in cabinet discussions, Parliament, or anywhere else.”

”As the sitting Minister for Works and Housing, I never directly or indirectly influenced Parliament (whether as a whole or any of its constituents),” says Atta Kyea

committees) to thwart or oppose the efforts of a colleague Minister. Some members of the joint committees on Mines, Energy, and Finance are still sitting Members of Parliament who cannot back up Hon. Boakye Agyarko’s sad fabrication of facts”.

“Regarding the renegotiation of the Ameri Power Plant Agreement, I never inquired about the Committee activity of my seniors at the Bar, Lawyers Addison and Vicky Bright,” he stated.

”In terms of the subject, I have never convened a conclave with Gabby Otchere-Darko or any other person (dead or alive) to override cabinet decisions. Boakye Agyarko is giving me greater power than I would have had in President Akufo-Addo’s government.

The MP for Abuakwa South went on to call it “malicious propaganda” and claimed that he had called John Dramani Mahama a “guinea fowl.”

Samuel Atta Kyea stated that his background and respect for the presidency will preclude him from making such accusations against someone who has previously held the position of president.

“I have not and will not compare a gentleman who has held the highest office in the land to a guinea hen.” My debonair upbringing will not allow me to say such derogatory things about Ex-President Mahama, with whom I have had a very excellent and personal relationship, including his brother, Ibrahim.”
