West Ham United’s pursuit of Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has run into another obstacle as the Dutch club has rejected their second offer.
According to reports, the failed bid for Kudus was for €42 million (£35.4 million). Despite the losses, West Ham is thinking about whether they could soon submit a stronger offer.
The 23-year-old international from Ghana is considering relocating to London Stadium. Ajax, on the other hand, is adamant about keeping the player and has thus far turned down both of West Ham’s offers.
Kudus has successfully aided Ajax’s Eredivisie campaign this year, showcasing his exceptional on-field performance. In the first game, he scored a goal, and in the next, he contributed an assist.
Kudus is beginning the latter two years of his Ajax contract. Kudus made an impression the season before, tallying a total of 17 goals across all competitions for the Dutch team.
