Chairman Wontumi, MP’s to support NPP delegates in A/R to save Bawumia financial burden

Chairman Wontumi Is NDC's Major Headache- NPP Regional Secretary - Wontumi Online

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Chairman for the Ashanti Region, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, revealed that top gurus and other MPs from the Region, along with himself, have made the decision to form a group to support delegates for Saturday’s super delegates conference.

Water, food, transportation, and other event-related costs will all be covered by the group.

Ashanti Region has already chosen on a leader who will guide us in breaking the eight, according to Chairman Wontumi, who stated this in an interview on August 21.

“I’ve met with the MPs and some leaders in the Ashanti Region, including some chiefs, during which we appreciated what the Vice President has done for Asanteman and why he is respected today,”

We have chosen to uphold those commitments, so he is relieved of the burden of paying for water, transportation, lodging, food, and other incidentals as they relate to the primary.

Chairman Wontumi stated that since he and the Ashanti group had made the decision to support the delegates’ interests financially and logistically, the Vice President would be better served by being encouraged to concentrate on the other areas.

The Vice President’s interest for the development of the Ashanti Region, according to the perhaps most influential chairman, is overwhelming and deserving of recognition, which led to their choice, he said in the interview.

We say “Ayekoo” and we’ll reward him because Ashanti is known for rewarding good and hardworking people. “Dr. Bawumia was instrumental in the President’s decision to construct the Bonkra Inland Port, the Kumasi Airport expansion, the Suame Interchange, construction of the Konongo double lane corridor, Kumasi central market reconstruction project, among others.

The gesture, according to Chairman Wontumi, is intended to show the Vice President appreciation for his dedication and hard work on behalf of the Ashanti Region, not as a covert campaign for him.
