Prophet Kofi Oduro, a strong critic of the Akufo-Addo administration, has responded to the New Patriotic Party’s loss in the 2024 elections.
In a recent sermon , Prophet Kofi Oduro, founder of Alabaster International Ministries, declared that the New Patriotic Party’s defeat in the 2024 elections was a divine act, intended to make the party regret ignoring his warnings and the concerns of citizens during their time in power.
He criticized the NPP for viewing anyone who opposed their government as an enemy. Reflecting on the party’s loss in constituencies previously held by the NPP but now won by the NDC, he affirmed that this outcome was God’s doing.
Prophet Oduro concluded by asserting that the NPP would now recognize that those who criticized their leadership were not enemies, but people who genuinely sought to guide them for the greater good.
Prophet Oduro remarked, “When I was here trying to correct people, they thought I was the enemy. But now that you are in opposition, weeping in your homes, you will know I wasn’t the enemy. I had your best interest at heart.”
Prophet Kofi Oduro called on the NPP to reflect on their actions and learn from their mistakes, seeing the defeat as an opportunity from God to correct their wrongs. He urged them to introspect and consider if they had been too proud, arrogant, complacent, or pompous.
He emphasized that they should accept God’s reprimands in good faith, as those He loves, He rebukes. Prophet Oduro also pointed out the loss of prominent MPs, stating that these events were a message from God.
Prophet Kofi Oduro responded to critics questioning John Dramani Mahama’s landslide victory, saying, “So politically people say he didn’t deserve that opportunity. I hear people analysing and claiming he didn’t deserve the victory, but it’s God who decides.”
