Majority Leader Urges Citizens to Vote, Emphasizing the Simplicity and Security of the Electoral Process”

 

The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has praised the voting process, calling it straightforward and secure. In a Facebook post after casting his vote, he encouraged all eligible voters to head to the polls and participate in the ongoing general elections.

 

In a Facebook post, he shared, “Today, I exercised my civic duty by casting my vote in the ongoing election. I encourage all constituents to do the same. Every vote is important, and together, we can shape the future of our nation.”

 

As we head to the polls, let’s remember the significance of this election. It’s not only about selecting leaders; it’s about securing a brighter and more prosperous future for ourselves, our families, and our community.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), expressed his satisfaction with the overall mood in the country on election day after casting his ballot. He noted the determination of voters to participate in the election.

 

“From what I hear across the country, there is calm and very little tension. I understand that people were queuing from midnight, which shows a high level of enthusiasm,” he shared with journalists after voting.

 

When asked if he had any specific margin of victory in mind, Dr. Bawumia responded, “A victory is a victory. We just want to win, and by the grace of God, we will win.”

 

Voters began casting their ballots in the 2024 general elections on Saturday, December 7. The election process is underway, with citizens heading to polling stations to participate in this important democratic event.
