VIDEO: NPP’s Akosua Manu is Certain She Will Become Adenta’s First Female MP, As She Casts Her Vote.

Akosua Asaa Manu, the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated her confidence in her ability to become the first female MP in the Adentan seat.

Due to male candidates who fall short of the electorate’s expectations, Adenta has a history of switching its Members of Parliament every four years. This time, though, Akosua Asaa Manu thinks the constituency will support a woman who promises to change the political landscape and make history.

Akosua Manu casts her vote at the Adentan Constituency
Akosua Asaa Manu told TV3’s1 correspondent after voting at the Adjiringanor polling station that the election process was peaceful and that voters should actively participate in order to have their thoughts heard.

Mohammed Adamu Ramadan of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who she is challenging, has a solid record; in 2020, he received 63,436 votes (55.89%). However, the results of the most recent election indicate that the NPP candidate received 49,255 votes (43.4%) in the same year.

Akosua Asaa Manu will have a difficult time winning the 2024 election. However, Akosua Asaa Manu is optimistic that this time would be different because of the increased support for female candidates and her solid grassroots ties.

Akosua Asaa Manu is positive despite the ongoing race, concentrating on her message of empowerment and development for the Adenta people.

Both candidates are working to increase voter turnout while the election is still in progress in an effort to influence unsure voters and guarantee their seats in Ghana’s next parliament.
