Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, joined the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and several Imams for a special prayer and thanksgiving session in Accra on Wednesday, December 4.
The thanksgiving and prayer session, which was attended by numerous Zongo Chiefs and other prominent members of the Zongo community, featured prayers for the nation and for a peaceful electoral process to preserve the country’s continued peace.
The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, who presided over the prayers and thanksgiving service for the nation, also led a dedicated prayer session for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, in accordance with one of the main objectives of the gathering.
This special prayer session was focused on invoking divine blessings and guidance for the Vice President as he campaigns for the presidency. Sheikh Osman delivered an extended and profound prayer, carefully reciting numerous verses from the Qur’an, as he asked for God’s favor, protection, and success for Dr. Bawumia. The prayer was intended to seek spiritual strength and support, not only for Bawumia’s political endeavors but also for the peaceful and prosperous future of Ghana as the country approaches the election.
The session underscored the important role of religious leaders in the nation’s political and social life, as they offer prayers for the leadership and stability of the country.
