‘Enough is Enough’ Demo: The EC’s mistakes are one too many – Armah Kofi Buah

In the months leading up to Election 2024, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament for Ellembele in the Western Region, has questioned how many times Ghanaians can “accept the mistakes” of the Electoral Commission before it is perceived as “crushing their will.”

Speaking to reporters outside his party’s “Enough is Enough” protest in Takoradi, Mr. Kofi Buah emphasized that the purported “errors of the EC” from the start of the Election 2024 process are

“Everyone wants to ensure that the procedures leading up to the election are transparent in addition to having a free and fair election.

“…So this protest is a call to all peace-loving Ghanaians. What we are doing is to save Ghana. We want our country to move forward; we don’t want any trouble.”

He finds it puzzling that anyone would “miss” the fact that a “credible election” can only be ensured by a “credible voter register.”
“Everyone can see from the facts we’ve provided that the register as it is raises concerns about the impending election. It is unsettling to think that a faction would band together to target voters who bring attention to such a grave issue that could compromise the integrity of the election.
