Guru NKZ To Contest for University of Ghana SRC Presidency.

One of Ghana’s, Astute  Musicians Guru NKZ has declared his intentions at his political ambition to contest for President of the University of Ghana’s Student Representative Council (SRC) elections in 2024/2025.

Currently, Guru is a student at the University of Ghana offering an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Information Studies after several years of making music has made his intentions known.

In disclosing his political ambition, Guru made it clear that he wants to become the SRC President to address some key challenges of the University of Ghana.

In his opinion, the establishment of a Legon Television, the procurement of more adequate buses for students on campus, and the invention of some recreational activities to help ease stress and pressure amongst students are among his key initiatives if he ascends the SRC Presidency.

“I’m currently studying with the University of Ghana in Political Science and Information Studies and I’m in my third year. I want to start there because I have seen the happenings and the kind of leader that people want.”

“I’m looking forward to bringing Legon TV, students are tired of the radio station. We should have a Legon TV, the buses on campus are very few, and we need to add more.”

“That’s what I want to do, go for the SRC President,” he said in an exclusive interview at TV3’s New Day program this morning.

He added that  being a student for nearly  three years and being a witness to the  challenges students are bedeviled with currently, it is his vision  “to bring back the euphoria about the University of Ghana and the aura that attracted many students [to dream of being in UG].”

In case, Guru gets elected as the UG SRC president, he will join forces with his colleague artiste Samini who also won the SRC President of GIMPA back in 2022.

The two will go down as the only musicians who have contested and been elected SRC Presidents in their respective universities.
