After a disappointing spell at the 2023 AFCON, It is reported that Negotiations between the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and Herve Renard for the appointment of the national team’s coach is in the final stages.

This decision stems from Egypt’s disappointing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where they were booted out of the tournament in the round of 16 after a series of draws in the group stage with Mozambique, Ghana, and Cape Verde.
Their current coach, Rui Vitoria, is expected to part ways with the the (EFA)Egyptian Football Association as they seek they seek a refreshed direction to things.
After a series of discussions between hosts Ivory Coast and Renard hit on the rocks, the French coach expressed Canal Plus.
With Ivory Coast’s setback in their final group game, suffering a 4-0 humiliating defeat to Equatorial Guinea, their hopes for advancement were kept alive through a 3rd Place Finish in the group.
