Arteta grateful to Pochettino for His Assistance Early In His Carreer.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has praised Mauricio Pochettino, his Chelsea rival, for the impact he made on his early playing career.

During the 2001–2002 campaign, Arteta spent a season on loan with Paris St-Germain, where Pochettino played center back.

In the forthcoming Premier League encounter between Arsenal and Chelsea, which is difficult to predict the outcome of, the two managers will square off.

He has had a significant impact on Arteta’s career as a footballer, the player claimed.

He looked after me like a young child and took me under his wing. a young brother. He played a significant role in my achievement in Paris.

Since that time, he has served as an inspiration to me both as a manager and a player. He had a lot of influence on it, and I will always be appreciative of what he did for me.

Ten years Pochettino’s junior, Arteta, 41, takes over as manager of Arsenal in 2019. He had previously served as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City.

Pochettino, on the other hand, managed Southampton, Tottenham, and Paris St. Germain before accepting his first managerial position in 2009 with Espanyol.

As they get ready for the visit of Chelsea, who have won just three of their first eight games and are currently in 11th place, Arsenal remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season and are second only to their rivals from North London, Tottenham, in terms of goals scored.

Bukayo Saka, a forward who has four league goals this season but missed Arsenal’s most recent 1-0 victory over Manchester City and then withdrew from England duty due to a hamstring injury, is still available, according to Arteta.

“Yes, I’m certain he wants to play. Nobody that I can see wants to be in the starting lineup, according to Arteta.
