Asamoah Gyan, a legend in Ghana, has admitted that he abstains from drinking and maintains that this is the key to his good looks.
The 37-year-old football player recently announced his retirement, yet he is still widely respected wherever he travels.
Along with his talent, Gyan’s attractiveness has won him many followers, who frequently swoon over him whenever he appears in public.
The former Black Stars striker revealed the key to his good looks while interacting with his followers during an Instagram live.
I’m so fine since I don’t drink. The fact that I don’t drink alcohol is the secret to my fineness, he continued, not that I’m condemning those who do.
On June 20, 2023, Gyan gave a speech at the 30th Afreximbank Annual Meeting and declared his retirement from football.
The former Sunderland and Stade Rennes forward retired from the match as Ghana’s second-most-capped player and all-time leading scorer with 51 goals.
With six goals in three tournaments, he is also Africa’s leading scorer at the FIFA World Cup.
Gyan last appeared for the national team in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), more than four years prior to his retirement.
In addition, he was left off of Ghana’s World Cup roster from the previous year, which was held in Qatar. The Black Stars ultimately lost in the group stage.
He last played for Ghana Premier League team Legon Cities two years ago, although he hasn’t been involved with any clubs since leaving them.
His future plans are uncertain, however he has primarily worked as a football pundit. He also has a UEFA B coaching licence, though he has not yet accepted any coaching positions.
